The Studio Art Minor provides 18 credit hours of studio art instruction. Six hours are devoted to fundamentals, continuing with the option to explore to two studio areas (6 credits hours each), or gain greater depth in a single area (12 credits hours). Areas include ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture. Courses in these areas are listed at the end of this section. A student must successfully complete, at Fontbonne, a minimum of 50 percent of the credit hours required for the minor.

Courses Required in the Minor
Two-Area Option
Six credit hours from each of two different studio areas (listed below), for a total of 12 studio hours. The six hours in each area must consist of one 200-level and one 300-level course.
Single Area Option
12 credit hours (four courses) in a single studio area (listed below); of these, 3 credit hours must be at the 200 level, and 9 credit hours must be at the 300-level or above.
Students are encouraged to participate in the Undergraduate Senior Exhibition either during or after their final semester in the program.
