This course examines common topics in medical care that are relevant for the medical speech pathologist. Medical terminology, cardiopulmonary issues, nutrition, critical care, and frequently occurring diseases/disorders will be discussed. Medical considerations are examined in the context of clinical assessment and treatment planning throughout the lifespan.
