ART 271 - Printmaking Credit(s): 3 This course covers traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, from Intaglio processes (drypoint, collagraphs and etching) to relief processes (linoleum block prints) to a hybrid traditional/digital process (using the wide format Canon Inkjet printer and other methods), to Lithography and Serigraphy. Instruction will be by studio assignment, demonstrations, slide lecture, handouts, classroom discussions, critique, studio and museum visits, and lectures from local artists. By the end of the semester students will have a professional print portfolio, digital images and a copy of the exchange portfolio. FA, SP
