One Health, B.S.

One Health recognizes that the health of people, animals, and the environment are inherently interconnected. The study of One Health is collaborative and interdisciplinary - as is this major. Students will take required courses in Biology and One Health as well as electives in other sciences; communication; and ethics, culture and policy. This major prepares students interested in any Health discipline for a wide-variety of human, animal, or environmental health professions.

Learning Outcomes
Students obtaining a degree in One Health from the Biological and Behavioral Sciences Department at Fontbonne University will demonstrate the following by the time they reach the end of their program:
- Students will be able to broadly understand the major biological sciences concepts as measured by performance on quantitative assessment quizzes.
- Students will identify and acquire valid scientific resources; apply the scientific method to a problem; design an experiment, analyze data, and form a conclusion, as measured by performance on quantitative assessment quizzes.
- Students will present scientific ideas and/or original research to diverse audiences in a public forum.
