CIS 161 - Advanced Programming using C++ Credit(s): 4 Continuation of Computer Science I, with extensive programming in the C++ language. Includes knowledge of how variables and arrays are updated in memory, pass-by-copy/reference parameter passing, strings, vectors, classes, objects, streams, file I/O and secure coding. Emphasizes incremental and modular development, and testing/debugging. Students in this course who are majoring in mathematics, computer science, cybersecurity or management information systems must earn grades of B- or better to progress to CIS 210 and above. SP Prerequisite(s): CIS 160 .
