ENG 203 - Writing for Social Justice

Explores the role of rhetoric and written communication in social justice activism, as conceptualized from Catholic social teaching. Students will learn to analyze public rhetorical situations surrounding social justice issues and to employ effective rhetorical strategies in the production of common public genres, both print and digital, such as opinion-editorials, letters to editors, videos, white papers, letters to congress, manifestos, etc. in support of social justice causes.
