CDS 520 - Voice and Motor Speech Disorders

Advanced study of the anatomy, physiology, and neurology of disordered motor speech and voice. Topics include assessment and treatment of motor speech disorders as a result of damage or disease as well as current diagnostic and treatment techniques for voice disorders as a result of misuse/abuse, disease, injury, and/or neurologic disorders. Topics discussed will also include multi-cultural and ethical issues that arise in working with a diverse patient population. FA
