The B.S. in dietetics curriculum is designed for students planning to pursue the coordinated program in nutrition and dietetics (CP). The CP results in both a B.S. in dietetics and an M.A. in health advancement and promotion, plus supervised practice to prepare graduates to sit for the credentialing examination for dietitians. Both degrees are awarded only after successful completion of all CP requirements. Students who are unable to fulfill all requirements of the CP for any reason will work with their advisor to select a different major.

Please see the listing in the Health Advancement and Promotion, M.A.  for additional CP graduate requirements.

Admission to the CP is competitive. Students apply to the CP once they have completed at least 60 credit hours of course credit, including courses marked as prerequisites. Students must have a cumulative GPA at Fontbonne of at least 3.25 to be considered. For more information, please see the graduate program requirements for the M.A, and our program website.

Fontbonne University is currently granted accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), 120 South Riverside Plaza Drive, Suite 2190, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 1-800-877-1600, ext. 5400.
