SWK 431 - Advocacy and Case Management Credit(s): 3 The study of theories and application of generalist professional practice skills for advocacy work and case management in the social service sector. Systems theory, bio-psychosocial, person-in-environment, and strengths perspective will be utilized for problem identification, assessment, resource development, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and case monitoring. Course content will include the National Association of Social Workers professional credentials for certified social work case managers (C-SWCM). Prerequisite(s): Junior and senior status.
