SWK 331 - Group Counseling Credit(s): 3 This course will focus on the core knowledge, values and skills for planning and evaluating group use in human services and social work. Particular attention is given to groups for various client systems and populations at risk. This course will address the history and the basic concepts of groups. Attention will be given to group dynamics, techniques and evaluations used in group work. Students will have an opportunity to participate and evaluate their own group work and experiences in the classroom and on field assignments.
